Question: What kind of clips do I use to install Bel Air dash trim in my '55, '56, '57? None.

Answer: The original Bel Air dash trim is secured at each outer corner with a Phillips sheet metal screw. The ends and center are then secured by the instrument cluster, clock and wiper/headlight/ignition/lighter and radio bezels. The only trim that requires a small wire clip is that used on 1957 "210" series dashboards.

Question: How hard is it to install a 700R transmission in a '55, '56 or '57 and how much RPM drop do I gain with the fourth gear and the lock up converter?

Answer: The 700R is as easy to install as the TH350. The rear transmission mount and crossmember are the same; they're just moved back in the chassis a little to accommodate the longer 700R case. The shift points are controlled by a cable that hooks to the carburetor, just like it is in a TH350. As far as RPM gain: you will gain 700 RPM in fourth over a TH350 or a TH400, and another 200 RPM with the lock up converter.
