FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

2000-2001 CLUB EXECUTIVE
President: Jeff Kempton <--------------->Treasurer: AnnMarie Dorey
Vice-Pres: Tom Harmes <--------------->Secretary: Cheryl Kempton
Director: Kevin MacDonald

A recent setback has brought a big change to my daily routine. However. I did confirm that the Law Of Gravity is still working as designed, and that Murphy's Law is going strong as well. To make a long story short, I suffered a severely broken right kneecap in a fall 5 weeks ago. In addition to meaning that I'll be off work for another 6-8 weeks at least, it also caused the traditional February CCCNS birthday party (which was to be held at our home) to be postponed.

Well, I may not be mended yet, but I am ready for a party!!! As a result the Club Birthday Party is back on, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at our place (106 Skyridge Avenue, Lower Sackville, NS, Phone 865-3012). We are asking any members attending to try to arrive by 8PM sharp, to take part in a brief club meeting prior to settling back to enjoy an evening of shaking off the winter cobwebs. The party is a. BYOB deal, and if you wish, please bring a. small snack item along too. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout; After all, you wouldn't want to disappoint a guy with a cast on his leg, would you?

Memberships are now due and remain at $20/year. You can pay at the party, or mail a cheque in to the club address.

Included in this newsletter is an early edition of our upcoming event listings. You'll note that there are lots of gaps in it at this point. Any show information: that you can provide to us will be gratefully accepted and added to the list.

Enclosed is an info package and survey regarding Bill C32, which threatens the, survival of the car hobby in Canada if it is passed. It is very important that you take the time to fill out and submit the attached survey to express your opposition to this bill. The future of our hobby is at risk, Please do this NOW!!
