FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

2002-2003 CLUB EXECUTIVE
President: Jeff Kempton <--------------->Treasurer: AnnMarie Dorey
Vice-Pres: Tom Harmes <--------------->Secretary: Cheryl Kempton
Director: Harold Jardine

The weather over the last few days makes one think that this winter may actually come to an end one of these months. It's definitely not too early to get out in the garage and start bolting things back together. You'll want your car together this summer, for there are lots of club activities already scheduled for the upcoming season, as you'll see in this issue, with more events to follow.

The club's birthday party was a great success, and enjoyed a good turnout. Even though Old Man Winter threw some slippery roads at us for the drive home, a good time was had by all. The bowling night in January went over well, and another one is planned for March 29th.

The big news is that the annual CCCNS Classic Chevy Weekend has been set for Sept. 20-21 at the Best Western Aurora in Kingston. Hopefully enough members will book early enough that the hotel will be encouraged to increase the block of rooms that they have set aside for us. It's earlier in the fall than previous events, and we've provided plenty of advance notice, so there's really no reason that this year's event shouldn't see a great turnout.

If you haven't visited the club's website lately you really should check it out. Rick had been very busy updating and adding stuff to it, and it's really shaping up into a great site.

Last but not least, I would like to remind everyone that MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOW OVERDUE. If you are not sure whether you have already renewed, check the mailing label on the address that this newsletter comes in. If the label has 2/03 on it, your membership has expired. Once your renewal is received the label will be changed to read 2/04. If we show you as overdue but you feel that you're not, just give Ann Marie or myself a call, and we'll get it straightened out.

Remember that club membership still only costs $20.00, and that the dues have only changed once since the club was formed in 1981. That one change happened in the early eighties, when the cost of membership was REDUCED by 20%. I hope you'll agree that membership in the CCCNS remains quite a bargain!!
