Newsletter

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

2000-2001 CLUB EXECUTIVE
President: Jeff Kempton <--------------->Treasurer: AnnMarie Dorey
Vice-Pres: Tom Harmes <--------------->Secretary: Cheryl Kempton
Director: Kevin MacDonald

The very first thing that I must mention in this month's newsletter is that I screwed up in my last President's Message arid had a typo in the club's new website address. It wasn't a big one; but with computers, a miss is a miss regardless. I apologize for any confusion I've caused, and would fire my proof-reader if I could, but he's also the editor, senior writer, and publisher, and I can't afford to lose them too. The correct address is -------- www.classicchevyclub-ns.com

World Of Wheels is coming to Halifax this spring after many successful shows in Saint John, NB. I had a chat with the promoters recently, and they are certainly keen on putting on a first class event. The dates are March 30 to April 1 at Exhibition Park. For those interested, I have application forms and more information.

The club is 20 years old this year, and a club birthday party is planned for February 24 at the home of Lorne and Dorothy Gilbert in Lawrencetown. The party will be preceded by a brief club meeting, so try to get there by 8:00 PM if possible. It will be BYOB and Pot Luck, and if you'd like some help with deciding which side dish to bring or if you need directions to help you find their 22 Gammon Lake Drive home, give them a call at 462-1060.

***** MEMBERSHIPS ARE DUE IN FEBRUARY *****

Please fill out the form on the back of this newsletter and return it with your renewal cheque/money order, so we can correct any of our records that are inaccurate or incomplete. Because renewals in previous years have lagged over several months, causing numerous problems, it was agreed at our last meeting to charge $25 for any renewals received after Mar. 31. Do us all a favour and get your $20 renewal to us on time; you'll save the $5 surcharge and we'll be able to move on to more important things, like planning activities for next summer!
