There are two very important subjects to cover on this page. But
before I get to them, however. I would be remiss not to pass along
my congratulations to member Curtis Levangie. His (,and his son
Shawn's) company, Trail Blazer; was part of a recent trade mission
to Georgia; and landed a contract with the Home Depot chain for
between 3-4 million dollars! The product that won them this contract
(and an existing owner with Canadian Tire is their innovative "Take-Down
Buck Saw". Long time members may remember several years ago
when ,Curtis was showing off the prototype unit at various club
gatherings. Congrats to the Levangies for sticking to a dream and
making it come true.

Note that I haven't been able to talk to Ann Marie for the last
few days, so some members on this may have paid without my knowledge.
If so, contact me and we'll take care of it. Those others who still
intend to renew should send your $25 cheque in ASAP so we can make
sure that you get the next newsletter without fail.
The club's annual CLASSIC CHEVY WEEKEND is only just over a month
away. Included in this newsletter are some more details as well
as a registration form. A special T-shirt recognising the 20th anniversary
year for our club had been ordered and you should note that registered
participants of our show receive the right to purchase their shirts
first. And, they will get their shirt free merely
by registering and paying their entry fee! As there are a limited
number of these shirts .....so....you snooze, you lose! A Registration
Form is included in this newsletter also an Agenda. Any shirts remaining
after the event will be available to all. (TShirt Logo)
You can book your rooms by calling 1-800-561-0000 or 902-667-3331,
and asking for the Classic Chevy rate Act quickly, as few rooms
remain. If you have any questions or need further information; call
the club's show chairman, Peter Stokdijk, at 902-895-4817.
